Manager Information Technology

INTRODUCTION

Presently I am looking for full time employment in technology. I have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. I also possess strong skills in Microsoft Office Products, web applications, PHP, Visual Basic, ASP and have some knowledge of Python. I have designed web applications that functioned with databases for tracking parts in a manufacturing environment, help desk application, campus course scheduling and some simple apps for file storage on the web. I know HTML, XHTML, SQL, along with the scripting skills mentioned above. I am familiar with using DreamWeaver as a web development tool.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Regional IT Manager – Virginia College (Education Corporation of America) 920 Cedar Lake, Suite C, Biloxi, MS 39532 – 228-***-****

Supervisors – David Podesta Regional Vice President and Lloyd Weaver Vice President of Information Technology

Responsibility – I supervisor the Campus IT Support Technicians at campuses in the deep south. This includes acting as a communication conduit between corporate headquarters and the campus on any IT related initiatives and challenges. I travel weekly and work out of my home. In addition as the senior member of the Regional IT Managers I help shape initiatives, processes, take the lead on projects and help formulate policy. My greatest strength is verbal and written communication.

Senior Hardware Technician – Pratt Whitney Engine Services 1525 Midway Park Rd. Bridgeport, WV 26330 – 304-***-****

Supervisor – Jon Atherton Vice President of Accounting

Responsibilities – Deployment of PCs and Laptops, maintaining network cabling, moving equipment, support and troubleshooting activities and the local plant and remote locations across the USA. Went from DOS to Windows 2000, helped with VAX system and troubleshooting printers and “dumb terminals”. Initiated several projects and developed a web based tracking application for parts.

Length of Services – Sept 1996 to Oct 2004 – The first 3 years was as an independent Contractor the remaining time was as a full time employee – Resigned and moved to Biloxi, MS.

Management and Sales – In the years prior to 1996 I worked as a manager in fast food for Long John Slivers Seafood Shoppes and Kentucky Fried Chicken. I have also worked for Frito Lay and Lance Snacks as a route salesman.
