While at the University of South Carolina I have been able to work on multiple team projects including the design of a fully autonomous vehicle. Our group consisted of four people all of us from different countries and since their first language was not English I took the lead on proofreading and organizing everyone’s sections for lab reports and the technical manual. My other duties for this project included determining the drive motor characteristics such as inductance and resistance of the motor, designing the steering circuitry, designing other external circuitry used for landmark detection, and start/stop operation. Currently I am working on the design of a solar powered charging station for lithium ion batteries. My duties for this project have included using LabVIEW software to plot the output current of the existing CCCV (Constant Current Constant Voltage) charger during a charge cycle, and designing a CCCV charger. These projects have not only helped build the foundation of my electrical engineering career but have also taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, and communication.
