Analyzed and studied about architectures of microprocessor systems and worked on TI MSP 430 and ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller with use of emulators and test equipment.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Design of a Rayleigh/Ricean Fading Simulator [MATLAB]

Developed a time domain fading simulator by generating In-phase and Quadrature phase components and estimated a Rayleigh Fading Channel. Accuracy and performance was measured by running Monte Carlo trials.

Design of Digital Modulation schemes under Rayleigh Fading [MATLAB]

Designed Digital modulation schemes (QPSK,M-PSK,M-QAM) for a Fading simulated and AWGN channel in Matlab. A transmitter and receiver was designed for different SNR values passed through the channels and performance was evaluated.

Devised an OFDM system [MATLAB]

Designed and simulated an OFDM system using the adaptive modulation technique that includes BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, 64-QAM constellations. Spectral efficiency for the systems from different SNR values and plotted.

Implementation of Pathloss Measurement [MATLAB, inSSIDer]

Developed a path loss model for both LOS and non-LOS paths by taking measurement of received powers using the iSSIDer tool. Pathloss exponent, LogNormal shadowing was calculated.

Filter for Signal Denoising [MATLAB]

Designed a Wiener filter in order to remove the unwanted and corrupted signals by optimizing the signal-to-noise ratio using Matlab and Simulink. The filter was worked on few speech signals corrupted artificially and noise reduction was carried out by studying and estimating the steady state noise spectrum.

Implementation of a Microstrip Edge Coupled Directional Coupler [AWR – MWO]

Achieved in designing a FR-4 substrate dB Quadrature line coupler (Branch-line) and edge coupled 4- port coupler. The design was tested for the Return loss at each ports, coupling and isolation using EM simulation and VNA measurements and analyzed for design compliancy using AWR.

Developed a Microstrip Filter [AWR – MWO]

The objective was to design a 0.5dB ripple Chebyshev LPF (Equi-ripple) using Series Shunt TX lines and Butterworth (Maximally Flat) LPF using Stepped Impedance TX lines and the rejection frequency at 2fc was measured.
