PROJECT
For this project, a PLC was programmed to control a train with the input of a touch screen interface. From this interface, the user was able to choose to enter a mode that allowed them to control the train’s speed, direction, and track turnouts, while calculating and displaying the average speed. The user was also allowed to enter a mode that sent the train into an automated routine that is based on the Amtrak route from Chicago to Milwaukee.
