ADMA-OPCO ZWSC +100MBD Modification Project

This EPC Project comprised the modification works required at ZWSC in order to handle additional 100 MSTBPD oil productions from Thamama IV and V. The structural scope of work includes the new deck extensions and strengthening at existing CSP and RP platforms and the connecting Bridges B5 and B8. Additionally, the scope includes the new Bridge B14 & LCR Building to be supported on new Bridge Support Towers S10 and S11.

ADMA-OPCO USSC Slops and Drains Project

The structural scope of work includes the new deck extensions and modification works required at existing 36”MOL Platform and Bridge B7 due to Slops and Drains to be modified at USSC.

Responsibilities as PMC Structural Engineer included review of ADMA-OPCO Technical Documentation and Requirements. It includes review of the Structural deliverables produced by the Contractor, Technical Queries, and Variation Orders. To interpret ADMA-OPCO Specifications & Standards, Scope of Work intended for the Project and direct the Contractor accordingly.

May 2008 – November 2012 : NATIONAL PETROLEUM CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (NPCC), ABU DHABI, U.A.E.

Major Projects Experience:

ADMA-OPCO ZWSC +100MBD Modification Project

Worked as Lead Structural Engineer on this Project.

Responsibilities include review of structural analysis reports, carrying out engineering check of structural drawings and review of inter-discipline drawings, interface coordination with other engineering disciplines, marine, fabrication yard, subcontractors and client. Perform construction engineering related activities such as check of fabrication drawings and miscellaneous structural design works.

ZADCO Jarnain & OS-IIA Platforms Project

The scope of the work includes the design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, onshore commissioning, load out, sea fastening, transportation. The work includes a tripod jacket and bare deck at Jarnain field (Depth 35.0m) and Tripod jacket at OS-II field (Depth 13.0m).

Responsibilities included performing various In-Service (Inplace, Fatigue) and Pre-Service Analyses (Lift, Load-out, Transportation, On-Bottom Stability) and design, preparation of design reports, calculations and Material Take-offs, providing Technical assistance to Lead Engineer in miscellaneous structural design works, carrying out engineering check of structural drawings and Yard engineering activities.

ADMA-OPCO Integrated Gas Development Project (IGD-HAP Project)

The project comprised of New Habshan Platform (HAP) at USSC, New remote Flare Tower (HAP Flare), new interconnecting Bridges (B24 and B25) and Support Structures (S11 and S12) between HAP and the existing USSC, Modifications to existing structures at TA-NGTP Bridge B14 / B15, and Bridge Support Structure S4. The scope of the work includes the design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, load out, transportation and installation of HAP deck by float-over method.

Maersk Oil Qatar Al Shaheen Field Development Project

ADMA-OPCO Addition of 10 New Wells on Existing ZAKUM WHT’s Project

It involved addition of 10 new wells on 5 exiting well head towers namely ZK-26A, ZK-35, ZK-37, ZK-62 & ZK-95. Work included In-place analysis for jacket and deck, boat fender design, miscellaneous structural design works related to new deck extensions, weight control report preparation, along with 100 structural drawings for modification and extension of platforms on above mentioned well head towers.

ADMA-OPCO Wellhead & Manifold Tower – UDS “Optimum Design & Standardisation” Select Stage Study

It involved standardization of Deck for simple well head towers, junction towers for 16 conductors and manifold towers for 12 and 16 risers. It also involves the standardization of Jacket for all above deck in water depth range from 5.0m to 35.0m. Inplace analysis of Deck and Jacket were carried out.

ZADCO Gas Injection Topside Facilities – EPCM Services for UZ Full Field Development Thamama II – WAD Phase 1

It involved installation of new topsides systems on existing WHT’s PW-32, PW-62, PW-68, PW-109 and ZW-90 and on a new platform PW-54A for gas injection for reservoir pressure maintenance using the Water Alternating Gas (WAG) Injection concept.

Responsibilities include all design works related to new deck extensions required for gas injection facilities, such as Global Inplace analysis to check the adequacy of the existing platform topsides for all the above Wellhead Towers, checking of structural design drawings, MTO preparation, and site visits to collect necessary data.

Design activities carried out were Sea-fastening Design, Mooring Analysis and design, Load-out Analysis and barge local strength analysis for various load-out sequences of topside from the yard onto the barge.

- West E-Drill Project (Client: Smedvig)

Involved in analyses and design of crane pedestal, crane boom rest, burner boom, dropped object analysis and temporary supports design for erection blocks of semi-submersible drilling rig platform using MSC/Nastran and SACS Software.

Deputed to AKER KVAERNER E & C, Singapore (Dec.2004-Feb.2005) for basic engineering for Panyu4-2/5-1 Wellhead Platform FEED Modifications Project.

ERHA FPSO Project

(Client: SAIPEM, France; Owner : Exxon Mobil)

Project involved Analysis & design of topsides modules (8 Nos.) to be installed on the hull of FPSO. The modules were analyzed and checked for Inplace, Lifting and Transportation conditions. The analysis and design were carried out using SACS software package.
