Criselda Serra has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Information Technology where her most pervasive role as a Project Manager involved the successful delivery of solutions to the customer using the appropriate business measurements, terms and conditions for the project according to the agreement/contract. She acted as the onsite agent for the company she represents in all aspects of the engagement’s execution. She assumed overall accountability and performance responsibility for ensuring that both the customer and the vendor’s interests are properly served without compromising their obligations on cost and schedule while completing their contractual deliverables to the total satisfaction of the customer. She worked her way up the corporate ladder holding positions like Consulting Manager, IT Department Manager, and Quality Assurance Department Manager.

05/11 – 09/13: Quality Management Department Manager

Company: AEON Credit Service Systems Philippines Inc.

The role involved overall leadership for the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Departments. This department was established to address the growing concern over quality issues raised by the subsidiaries – AEON Bank, AEON Mall, Jusco, ACS – on the implementation of the FEP Payment Systems deployed on the merchants’ sites.

The Quality Control aspect of this role centred, for the most part, on the accuracy and completeness of multitudes of data from different sources populating AEON’s legacy backend solutions where MIS and Financial Reports are generated daily.

The Quality Assurance part focused on the design, formulation, and enforcement of Standard Processes and Procedures to accomplish the business objectives of the company in delivering quality solutions to all the subsidiaries.

The role was responsible for the management and support of the technology infrastructure and the respective resources throughout ACSS and its customers. It serves to provide current information, support and guidance to facilitate IT contracts & procurements. Provided help to the Project Managers in establishing, achieving and maintaining goals for the implementation and support of SAS Software and contributed to the effective management of BI/DI projects for some of the major government institutions and telephone and manufacturing companies in the Philippines, such as: BIR, GSIS, Maynilad, Globe, Toyota, Hitachi, etc.

Aside from its comprehensive analytical reports, SAS includes a dashboard application which delivers all reporting information in one window, regardless of its source. Users can create multiple views, showing information from across the entire system. The dashboards harness a wide range of powerful features including pivot tables, filters, styles and charts, all with a user friendly ‘drag-and-drop’ build capability. Users can build their own real-time view of vital data relating to all parts of their operation, allowing them to make rapid decisions and empowering them with information to effectively manage the business.

The role required hands-on team leadership for the implementation of the Loans Origination System of Land Bank of the Philippines using the appropriate business measurements, terms and conditions for the project according to the agreement/contract.

LOS simplifies loan application processing with a single system for all loan origination and account opening needs for efficient cross-selling across lines of business and total relationship management. The modules share a single database and a core set of functionality for ease of reporting and administration. It gives real-time credit policy and workflow administration that can be easily performed by the users. It also provides robust integration with all the existing applications such as document, core servicing, and collateral valuation systems to fully automate the processes.

AOL is an American multinational mass media corporation based in New York City which develops, grows, and invests in brands and web sites. The company's business spans digital distribution of content, products, and services, which it offers to consumers, publishers, and advertisers.

The role as Senior PM required strong coordination and management skills in order to effectively manage a team of 40 resources in Manila and 10 resources in the US, taking responsibility for the support and maintenance of America Online (AOL) and ensuring that project SLAs are met 100% of the time. It also involved direct supervision and control of the work phases of project development specifically involving detailed systems and program design, coding and testing and the underlying expense estimated as set in the project schedule and budget as well as ensuring the preparation of documentation deliverables and compliance to internal control requirements as established in the project management standard.

Company: WeServ Systems International, Inc. (a subsidiary of FUJITSU PHILS., INC.)

Fujitsu’s TeamBanks Solution is an integrated platform that links operations and processes seamlessly, while providing an enterprise-wide view of critical functions. It supports business event automation, eliminating manual tasks and reducing process time. The purging of error and data redundancies also results in increased branch productivity. It is also integrated into the Bank’s GL System for appropriate financial reporting.

Managed the implementation of TeamBanks Integrated Banking Solution for Philippine Veteran’s Bank, Jade Bank, and Export and Industry Bank.

Managed the development and implementation of EON System, the first Internet Banking System developed by Fujitsu for the Union Bank of the Philippines.

Managed the development and implementation of TeamBanks Trust System for Security Bank & Trust Company. The system handles transactions from Account Opening (client placements on TOFA/IMA or CTF) to Purchase & Sale of Securities (Fixed Income and Equities). The system provides online inquiry and tracking of maturity including Error Correction and Reversal modules as well as daily and monthly reporting modules.

Managed the development and implementation of PS Bank’s Collection and Asset Management System which was developed in line with PSBank’s thrust to automate the process of its major business operations particularly the credit and loans operations. It complements the Bank’s Multi-product Loan Application and Integrated Loans Systems in the effective management of the Bank’s loan portfolio under an integrated computerized set-up.

The integrated system developed for Fidelity Information Services (FIS) is a comprehensive solution which handles all asset classes, all markets and all financial market processes in real time within a single system preconfigured for Central Bank’s regulations. This minimizes error rate as data flows smoothly from front to back office and thereby also reduces operational risks.

Performed as the overall Project Manager for a team of 80 people composed of 4 Project Managers, 4 Business Analysts, 1 Solution Architect, 1 DBA, and 70 senior and junior developers including software testers for the simultaneous development, integration, and implementation of the Treasury, Trade Finance, and Documents Compliance Systems, as well as the Multi-currency Accounting Package.

03/96 to 08/98, Manager

Company: Bank of Southeast Asia

Designed and lead the development of in-house banking applications such as; Consumer Loans, Corporate Loans, Trust, Deposit, Trade Finance, and Treasury Systems including the development of a new fully-integrated multi-currency General Ledger System. The systems were also designed to capture from and update information on the Customer Management System that is linked to the Risk Management System for the comprehensive monitoring of the Bank’s exposure limits in adherence to the regulations of the Central Bank of the Philippines.

The design supports multiple mechanisms for bi-directional data exchange with all the bank systems. It supports queries from other bank systems to perform most of the day-to-day functions as well as a nightly bi-directional data feed to perform the other banking functions in batch. Multiple file/data transfer protocols are supported including secure FTP transfers for both single and bulk transactions.

Company: ASB Realty Corporation

Designed and lead the development of the Instalment Real Estate Receivable System, a comprehensive system designed to accept and monitor the receivables from the sale of condominiums and other real estate properties of the company.

The system was fully integrated into the existing Cash Receipts and Disbursements system and linked to the GL System for consolidation and reporting. Other projects include: GL, Accounts Receivables/Payable, Inventory & Properties Monitoring, HRIS, and Payroll Systems.

Designed and developed the Integrated Sales Monitoring System, which is the core system that links together the POS, Cash Receipts/Disbursements, and Inventory Systems in order to accurately monitor and forecast the sales of the organization and generate consolidated GL Reports.
