To Whom This May Concern:
My name is Jayne Peterson and in December of 2012 I graduated from Old Dominion University with Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I am interested in an entry level position where I would have an opportunity to advance in the manufacturing field.
I am motivated when I do not have to sit at a desk all day or never see what I am working on first hand. When it comes to working with others, I strive to be a team player. I make a point, to always be there so I can help in any way that I can. I have been in situations where I have had to unknowingly lead teams and also finding myself having to step back so someone else can lead. As a kitchen worker at Camp Hope Haven, I was able to lead my peers through one summer and as the years continued I found myself as the Assistant Supervisor. Everyone has told me that I did a fantastic job and surpassed their expectations. I also know that they would like to speak on my work performance. I will work hard to ensure the task is accomplished correctly in a timely fashion.
I am qualified for this job because I am willing to learn and help others. I would rather help someone without any benefits for myself than help those who can help me because I believe that is how the world should be. Also, I always see myself as a life-long learner, prepared to follow orders and paying attention for opportunities to grow not only as an employee but as a person. Every job that I have had requires me to be able to follow directions and remembering how my job is needed to be done.
I would really appreciate if you could look at my resume and see all of my potential.
Sincerely,
Jayne Peterson
