EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
After starting in home health care management, I spent many years in critical care medicine, with extensive work in cardiac failure syndromes, providing care and education to patients and decision makers regarding disease progression and starting the difficult conversation toward end-of-life options. My experience in education, critical care and gerontology has given me a comfort level helping patients and decision makers understand the chronic disease progression, treatment options and advanced directives, so they may address these difficult decisions in concert with family and support systems.
