Adjusted to voice transcription of ten Gastroenterologists for the last 5 years, paying attention to specific information required by each physician; developed formats to aid in speed of typing; and established good working relationships with various employees in their practice located at three sites. Worked daily with various software programs at Charleston GI, noting discrepancies of patient data in software, and reporting these to management for correction. As a Clinic Clerk at the VA Medical Center, worked the various clinics (Medical, Neurology, Gastro- enterology, Pulmonary, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Nephrology, and Hematology); following the doctors’ notes, ordered lab tests, x-rays, and procedures.

As Controlled Substance Inspector for three years, performed inspections on the wards, ICUs, OR, and pharmacy at the VA Medical Center.

Typed responses regarding veterans’ clinical issues for them and Congressional Offices; typed all patient concerns in the National Patient Advocacy Software; and typed reports and procedural forms.

Created/typed reports from a database in Microsoft Excel and Word; typed correspondence and numerical data for use in briefings and presentations; created/typed instruction handouts, desk manuals, program notes, etc.

Appointed technical resource for the Word Perfect Program during which time I trained and assisted all users and developed a Word Perfect 5.1 Handbook.
