M.Tech Project : Unit Commitment using PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) Technique under the guidance of Prof. Dr. J.P. Tewari, Electrical Dept., IIT (BHU),Varanasi, India.

Unit commitment is a non-linear, large scale, combinational, constrained optimization problem. Many scientific, engineering & economic problems involve the optimization of a set of parameters. These problems include examples like minimizing the losses in a power grid by finding the optimal configuration of the components, or training a neural network to recognize images of people’s faces.

JOB DETAILS

SITE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER at Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC), & at Downtown Msheireb Project ( Phase 1B & 1C ) and at Qatar University’s New College of Engineering, Qatar for Euro Systems LLC, Qatar.

Job Profile & Responsibilities :

a)Site Installations of the subcontractor’s works

Review and commenting on relevant Technical submittals, as per RFP such as Method statements, inspection requests and As-built drawings

Site surveys and Carry out installations, inspection of works in progress

Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings

Witness the commissioning of major systems of the Project as described in the specifications

Review comments on Material submittals concerning constructability as a support to the Project Engineer and witness the field test.

Coordination of all electrical services with other disciplines. also responsible for reviewing & preparing daily reports, preparing portion of the daily, weekly report and giving relevant input to the monthly report to my section of the project and contract requirements.

To report Quality non-conformances to Quality manager and assist in closing out of the same

Monitor and report contractor progress and all activities.

Generate and submit Weekly and Monthly discipline Reports

Generate, manage and maintain tracking and reporting schedules.

Deliver all Main contractors obligations related to the MEP Package under the Conditions of Contract.

Assist the Project Manager / Resident Engineer / Discipline Engineer in delivering all other obligations under the Conditions of Contract.

Assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer in delivering all Main contractor internal Project Management deliverables.

Comply with and maintain all discipline documentation in accordance with Project Quality Plan.
