I believe that my graduate education, and the considerable variety of clinical medical, and life experiences I have gained in previous clinical settings has provided me with the knowledge, skill set, and critical thinking that makes me an ideal candidate for such the position at your organization.
In addition to my clinical experience throughout my career so far, I have 4 years of experience working on an inpatient oncology hospital unit caring for acute oncology patients, and experienced hands-on care and management of cancer diagnoses along with multiple acute and chronic medical illnesses, and extensive end of life care. In my work in oncology, I have become certified in the administering chemotherapy to patients for the past 3 years. I have also gain experience as an infusion nurse for an outpatient infectious disease clinic treating patients of all ages and diagnoses. Along with my professional experience I have traveled and practiced in two medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
My undergraduate nursing degree from St. Louis University, and my graduate nursing degree from Research College of Nursing have provided me with the exceptional education and clinical preceptors that have established my assessment, diagnostic proficiency, as well as my motivation to treat patients with evidenced based guidelines.
Having a sound and calm mind, having a positive outlook, and remaining adaptable in collaboration, and remaining tenacious when faced with adversity have allowed me be able to always give my best, especially in crisis situations. Providing a holistic approach to my caring, advocating, educating to and for patients, and continuously learning have been, and continue to be passions that will enhance my practice, the care of my future patients, and what makes me the best candidate for the position.
