Masters student in Mechanical Engineering to obtain a full time position working as Mechanical Engineer.

Strong background in Automotive industry with CAE engineer at ZF TRW and process/project engineer at SAIC MOTOR.

Excellent teamwork with Design, Manufacturing and Project Management department.

Well-trained CAD skills with use of different CAD software, like NX UG, Solidworks, AutoCAD Inventor, Catia etc.

Hands-on experience of HyperMesh, ABAQUS, etc. in CAE field.

Other skills in MATLAB, Python, GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, BOM,DMAIC Speaking Chinese and English. EXPERIENCE

ZF TRW Steering CAE Engineer Intern Jun 2016 – Aug 2016,Washington, MI

Developed Python scripts for ABAQUS Pre and Post Processing which could process everything eliminating human error. Manual operation took thirty minutes, Python scripts took a few seconds, saving almost half an hour.

Developed PLUG-IN in ABAQUS GUI whose function is to prompt user to create a pre-loaded bolt CAE model.

Conducted CAE modeling and shear resistance analysis for steering cam boss with HyperMesh and ABAQUS_CAE to verify stress, strain level, safety factor, deformation, etc. for design structure reliability.

Obtained essential training about steering components and their function. Formula SAE Braking system designer Jan 2012 - May 2012, Southfield, MI

Created 3D modeling for brake rotor and pedal structure in SolidWorks and applied GD&T to generate 2D drawing for manufacturing and assembly. Completed brake system model assembly in SolidWorks Assembly.

Re-designed rotor feature which has better heat dissipation and completed the brake components selection (calipers, cylinder, proportioning valve, etc) based on vehicle parameter and competition rules, achieving a braking distance reduction of 10%.

Conducted the FEA analysis on brake rotor to verify stress, strain level, safety factor, deformation, etc. SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Co. Process Engineer July 2012 - Dec 2013, Shanghai, CHINA

Developed the standardization of work instructions (SOS/JIS/MDS), CP,PFEMA for chassis assembly and managed the BOM of Rowew E50 which is the First electric model of SAIC with new offline assembly process.

Trouble shot the assembly line problems and evaluated the test parts of E50 with PE, QA and SQE during Pilot and after SOP.

Optimized tool for powertrain assembly with CAD software, which reduced labor time by 10 seconds for the operation.

Conducted the quality control method with the practice of six sigma by developing and tracking the Control Chats for bolts static torque to test and very the design torque. Conducted the quality analysis on daily DR, DRL database with QA department.

Established the first specification for operation of high voltage components. SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Co. New Project Engineer (Launch) Jan 2014 – June 2015, Shanghai, CHINA

Completed the MG6 UK overseas launch project with the cooperation of UK team in urgent 3 months. (Usually 6-8 months)

Led a team whose members are from PE, QA, ME, etc. to deal with the top launch issues in MG6 MCE CN project and Roewe Hybrid project which reduced 20% time to work out the single issue list.

Formulated and implemented the first New Project Production Quality Control Process with senior project engineer.

Obtained essential training about GVDP, PDCA theory and leveraged SAIC resources through core engineer, subject matter experts, research library, to gain a sufficient understanding of the theories. FEA Research (Human spine analysis): Research Assistant Aug 2016- Dec 2016, IIT, Chicago, IL

Generated meshes for Human Skeletal Structures model in HyperMesh, applied materials properties, contacts and load steps to the FEA models. (Spine, marrow, skull, brain, legs, arms, etc.)

Performed dynamic analysis on skeletal system in ABAQUS_EXPLICIT with applying the load to approximate real world traumatic kinetic events and generated strain, stress and energy plot.

Published a paper for the ABAQUS user conference. FEA Project (Truck chassis FEA analysis): Co-Researcher Jan 2016- May 2016, IIT, Chicago, IL

Created truck chassis CAE model in HyperMesh with meshes and boundary condition (B.C) to simulate four running conditions for static analysis (steady speed, one wheel suspended, braking, turning) and dynamic front/side impact analysis.

Completed static and dynamic analysis in ABAQUS standard/explicit to generate strain-stress plot, V.M distribution contour, deformation, max displacement/stress point and energy-displacement plot.

Optimized weight of the chassis with HyperMesh Optistruct. EDUCATION

Illinois Institute of Technology Master of Mechanical Engineering (3.87/4.0 ) Aug 2015 - May 2017 (Expected)

Shanghai University of Engineering Science Bachelor of Automotive Engineering (3.4/4.0 ) Sept 2008 - June 2012

Lawrence Technological University Exchange Student (4.0/4.0) Jan 2012- Jun2012
