EXPERIENCE
Project Lead September 2015-Present
Department of Biostatistics, Georgetown University Washington, DC Project: Robust analysis of regional treatment effects in multiregional randomized clinical trial with semiparametric logistic model
• Propose a semiparametric logistic model, which is a mixture of a known parametric and an unknown nonparametric components
• Estimate model parameter by profile maximum likelihood estimates and null hypothesis of no regional effect by profile likelihood ratio statistic
• Conduct simulation studies to evaluate performance of the model
• Generate results that show clear advantage of the proposed method over existing parametric model
• Identify and suggest improvements in project of limited duration and scope, troubleshoot when erroneous or unexpected results occur
Teaching Assistant August 2016-Present
Department of Biostatistics, Georgetown University Washington, DC
• Assist professor Dr. Anca Dragomi in teaching STATA courses
• Creat and correct assignments and quizs in a timely manner
• Hold weekly office hours to explain concepts and details about Epidemiology and Biostatistics Research Assistant September 2015-Present
Department of Biostatistics, Georgetown University Washington, DC Project: Improving Surgical Approach and Management for Intractable Epilepsy
• Conduct analysis to compare time and seizure recurrence between two groups, measure conventional FCD resection and iMRI assisted FCD resection for visual acuity using Kaplan-Meier method and Log-rank test
• Improve Surgical Approach and Management for Intractable Epilepsy
• Summarize the characteristics of the survival data from clinical patients using R and SAS
• Present research findings using different visualization methods to supervisor and clients Co-founder / Associate Statistical Programmer May 2014-Present Keli Inc. Guangzhou, China
A Clinical Trial for evaluating effectiveness and safety of Lower Limb Intelligence Training System
• Co-founded company for the purpose of participating “Challenge Cup for Business Start-Ups” National competition
• Build and maintain a database for different projects using Epidata
• Attend trainings on SAS including: basic SAS function, macros, SQL language, hypothesis test and its SAS implementation
• Evaluate safety of Lower Limb Intelligence Feedback Training System with a Pearson chi-square test to compare the incidence of the adverse event in two different groups
• Achieve superiority verifications for evaluating effectiveness of Lower Limb Intelligence Feedback Training System
• Generate effectiveness and safety reports of Lower Limb Intelligence Feedback Training System for clients’ system improvement
Team Lead June 2013-April 2014
Department of Biostatistics, Southern Medical University Guangzhou, China Project: Characteristics of Temporal and Spatial Distribution of Dengue in China and Its Influencing Factor
• Managed teammembers and provided basic trainings
• Estimated the impact of the meteorological and environmental factors on dengue fever infections in various regions throughout China using Lag Non-Linear Model
• Predicted incidents of dengue fever in Guangdong province by revised SARIMA model and SARIMA-GNAA models EDUCATION
