Performed Cornerstone and SABA administrative duties. Supported the BILD Team with printing, invoicing, room setup and customer service.

AMERICAN RIVER TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, LLC, Saint Louis, Missouri

Training Coordinator, 2010-2016

Managed scheduling and classroom training, and evaluated training effectiveness. Created consistent environment of respect, interaction, and inclusion of participants. Oversaw department statistics, training records, staff evaluations, near-miss recording, and injury reports. Developed strong and effective trainers. Facilitated substantial reduction in employee injuries. Maintained and consulted in developing LMS (online training) for all employees, and managed several other programs. Directed training department in planning and execution of annual vessel management meetings. Oversaw department statistics, training records, staff evaluations, near-miss recording, and injury reports. Coordinated travel logistics for executive personnel, office support staff members, and all vessel managers and direct reports. Managed scheduling, classroom training, and evaluating training effectiveness. Advised management with the creation of new training centers in Lakin, West Virginia and Convent, Louisiana. This greatly improved our training results with simulations in a controlled atmosphere where the new hires could be monitored closely.

Created the new hire training program for AEP. Researched and developed the program through best practices, industry standards and the input of river veterans. With an influence on employee safety, communication, work ethics and mutual respect for co-workers and management, the program’s success was soon realized in safety statistics, less behavior issues and improved the morale of front line employees.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Safety Representative, 2002-2006. Consulted and advised the manager of safety and compliance with company policies and procedure changes within river operations division. Conducted random compliance and safety inspections on company vessels. Facilitated yearly mandatory training for sexual harassment, code of conduct, diversity and inclusion, and weekly office safety meetings. Conducted American Red Cross first aid, CPR, AED, and oxygen administration sessions within company. Received certification as Red Cross instructor and certified as first responder.
