Lay out new warehouse design for inbound and outbound to create more efficient and safe work environment. Get quotes from contractors to put in new racking and turn the racking in a different direction to create more efficient picking process and provide safe work area for pack out employees. Get quotes for painting receiving lanes, and corrugated materials. Increased picking by 20% per picker. Responsible for all FDA Audits as well as in house audits. First manager hired for this start up. Preparation of warehouse to start business. Work with Consultants and system owners/developers to learn and train all other employees on warehouse management system. Interview for new hires. Schedule all incoming containers, trailers of all product. Manage over 100 employees across 3 shifts. Responsible for all Inbound and some Outbound processes. Receiving, Returns, Inventory, Picking, Shipping. Work with director on budgeting and P&L. Attend daily meetings to set the daily planning of work for each department. Help develop process to sell used books. These were being recycled with little to no damage. Now sell on Marketplace as Good used books. Generated over 1M in sales with this new process. Cover for all 5 leads/supervisors reporting to me. Do 90 day reviews and suggest extended training if needed. Do annual reviews for all employees. Responsible for meeting all goals on time.
