PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

PAYROLL MANAGER, CENTRAL DIVISION COMCAST APR 2008 – NOV 2016

Directly responsible for an annual 2-Billion-dollar Payroll budget, Bi-weekly company payroll processing, and payroll reporting including bonuses for more than 35K employees. Also, responsible for accurate compensation for employees, resolution of all payroll related issues with employees and scheduling of funds requirements of disbursements.

Identified critical gaps in employee time entry processes, developed pointed audit process to identify and correct shortfalls resulted in a continued annual savings of more than $3.5M and significantly reduced time entry errors.

Served as Division SAP implementation liaison with Comcast Corporate Headquarters to manage all aspects of implementation including, training, workflow changes, organization management and new releases. Effectively translating new processes to provide confidential information to employees across organizational lines, multi-levels of management and departmental boundaries while transitioning from 15K employees to over 35K employees for division and 100K company wide. Managed a successful payroll transition of two acquisitions. Tapped as expert to aid Human Resource team with formal documentation of policy and procedures, union contracts, benefits, COBRA, short term disability (ADA, FMLA), OSHA reporting, military leave, workers compensation, etc. Established transactional duties for HR finance positions during initiative from EV2 (ADP Enterprise) to SAP.

PAYROLL SUPERVISOR, CENTRAL DIVISION COMCAST OCT 2002 – APRIL 2008

Masterfully processed company payroll in an accurate, timely and efficient manner impacting 15K employees.

Pivotal in local conversion of the company’s 15K employees from paper timesheets (entry into EV2) to SAP.

Conducted User Acceptance Testing to ensure accuracy of conversion files from EV2 to SAP, employee data, time entry, ESS/MSS (Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service) – transition seamlessly completed.

Successfully implemented employee pay actions by calculating military pay, short term disability, leave of absences for employees to ensure compliance based upon company policy and support military deployments.

Resource to financial partners to provide financial reports such as but not limited to – overtime, headcount, employee roster, etc. to assist with budgeting as well as cost analysis.

Excel in vitalizing stalled projects and processes - executed manual entry of time sheets, garnishments, pay adjustment, commissions, incentives, manual checks, etc. for all employees from new hire to termination, kept departmental goals within reach.

Human Resource Manager Responsibilities included but not limited to managing and training in-house and contractor employees. Duties included evaluating and establishing process and practices to identify areas for improvement and streamlining policies and procedures.
