Pediatrics provider in a fast-paced, under-served population, city, community health center. attend to pharmaceutical representatives for the office; referrals (get authorization from insurance, set up appointments to specialists for patients); dictation for the supervising physician regarding history and physicals for all pediatric hospital admissions; ordering private and state vaccines for the office as well as administered vaccinations to patients myself; perform all prior authorizations for MRI, CT scans, medication authorizations that were declined; Medical Records requests for pediatrics and all disability requests for pediatrics; undergo annual chart review for insurance companies by pulling all paper charts to organize them and present them to the Insurer for evaluation for all insurances private and medicaid; assisted front desk reception by checking in the patient collecting co-pays pulling their charts if were walk in urgent care patient and seeing them as a practitioner as well; performed actual Billing for the consult and checkout process and filing paper medical records. As the provider in a small office, at times being the sole provider, had to delegate authority and management of 2-3 staff members. No EMR experience.
