Work Experience:

Lab Assistant

University of Houston, Houston, TX October 2016 – December 2016

Practically explored the concepts of Embedded Systems, real time working on FPGA, Arduino boards, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers.

Mentored the students with their course projects and lab experiments. Evaluating the experiment results and reports of the students.

Embedded Software Engineer

Mahindra Group, India August 2014 – June 2015

Designed complex automation procedures and software for effective run, control of engine and related equipment. Experience with CAN and FlexRay protocols.

Embedded Software component design and development for Engine ECU and maintenance, testing of existing software components.

Efficiently worked in all the phases of Software Development Process (V-Model) involving Requirements, Design, Development, Review, Testing.

Understanding and negotiating the requirements, design, implemented code, project documentation and adding new applications to the existing software.

Embedded Firmware Intern

Orange Research Labs, India May 2013 – August 2013

Real time experience with Embedded Systems, practically learnt the internal architecture of 8086, 8051 microcontrollers.

Built different software library functions for AVR microcontroller using Embedded C.

Learnt reliable techniques to design efficient and optimal PCB boards and also monitored the quality assurance of PCB’s.

Technical Skills:

Applications: MATLAB, SIMULINK, DOORS, BUSMASTER, ASCET, INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, ASPICE, Mathematica, MS Visual Studio, CADENCE, Keil, LabView.

Packages: Assembly language of 8086 and 8051.

Microcontrollers: 8051, ARM, Infineon, Atmel AVR – Arduino UNO, Altera, PIC.

Programming Languages: Python, C, C++, JAVA, Verilog, VHDL

Relevant Projects:

Monitoring for Engine Control in ECU for different OEM’s. August 2014 – June 2015

Different safety and preventives measures for Engine ECU (Engine Control Unit) are monitored carefully.

Various inputs from different modules like adaptive cruise control, cruise control, acceleration pedal, brake pressure, motor rotation and revolution are studied and monitored regularly.

Different Security levels (levels defines the cautions that are to be taken based on the priority of module failures) are considered for different modules (highest priority is given to safety of the driver).

Collision Recorder August 2014 – June 2015

Responsible for the design, development and testing of the Collision Recorder module.

This module stores the data of all the components of a vehicle like vehicle speed, buckle status, brake pressure, motor rotation and revolution etc. during the vehicle collision employing CAN protocol.

The storage of the data is done periodically and crash sensors helps the module to overwrite the data from time to time.

All this data is used later by the risk analysts to analyze and assess the covert reasons for that particular collision.

Fault and Risk Management August 2014 – June 2015

Played a key role in the development and testing of the Fault and Risk Management module. The fault and risk module contains each and every fault that a system can face while encountering any abnormal situation.

The basic and crucial functionality of this module is to store every fault which the system encountered in the previous and current ignition cycles.

All these faults and errors are stored in the EEPROM, which can be later cleared depending on the interest and requirement of the customer.

Smart Surveillance System August 2016 – December 2016

A continuous security system that tracks the objects based on its color was designed using Arduino and Computer Vision algorithms.

The computer vision algorithms were implemented using OpenCV software.

Digital Wallet System August 2016 – December 2016

An efficient and convenient ticketing system designed especially for the public transportation network.

The whole system was centered around the AVR microcontroller Atmega16, smart cards and smart card reader.

Pattern Recognition System January 2016 – May 2016

An efficient pattern recognition system was implemented using feature reduction algorithms and classification algorithms.

A high dimensional data set was used to train the system. Initially the dimensionality of the data was minimized using different feature reduction techniques. Later the data was fed into the classifier modules which would classify the objects using the training data.
