Project Description:

Google chrome is a fast, simple and secure Web Browser built for the modern web. It is also most popular browser for smartphones, and combined across all platforms such as Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10, MAC OS X, Linux, Android and iOS. It is used anonymously worldwide and is a very user friendly Web based application software used on day to day basis. The main activity of this project is to explore more and more with the browser, test the new functionalities, analysing the change log and reporting the defects associated to it.

Responsibilities:

Performing Chrome browser testing for its functionality, Sanity, Regression & Exploratory testing on different Android Devices.

Performing Non-Functional testing viz., Installation testing, Load testing, Volume testing & Compatibility testing on Chrome browser’s different milestones (dev, beta, stable).

Working with different android GED and non-GED handsets and tablet devices with different versions of Android OS (Jellybean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow & Nougat).

Executing High priority test cases on daily basis for assigned builds.

Reviewing user comments from Google Play store before and after Chrome build releases.

Daily execution of high priority test cases.

Executing adb commands using android SDK and analysis of Chrome Crash exceptions through logcats and bugreports.

Prepare / Update the Test case document for testing of the application from all aspects.

Logging defects in CrBug (Google chrome defect tracking and reporting tool) and keeping a track on the same.
