WORK HISTORY
LUNERA LIGHTING
Manufacturing Test Engineer Santa Clara Ca February 2014 - January 2017
Performed layout of circuit designs for the creation of all Lunera Generation 3 CFL and Generation 2 HID
replacement LED Lamps.
Created a field service task to give customer base an easy online contact point for questions and installation
issues.
Traveled throughout the continental U.S. to customers sites solving problems and creating a smoother path
to LED replacement lamps by training customer base on the new technology.
Designed and implemented an automated ballast regression tester for Lunera lamp products utilizing
Microchip PIC firmware, Labview software, and custom switch matrix to control and monitor the
performance and compatibility of Lunera Lamps and the electronic ballast used by the marketplace.
Collaborated with operations on design and manufacturing issues and resolved problems with form, fit,
and procurement changes.
Mentored other engineering staff on proper test setup.
Developed an industry standard component library using Altium Designer allowing Lunera's design
development to have a base to work from for present and future products.
RYVEAR DESIGN
Consultant Morgan Hill, Ca May 2012 – February 2014
Design of microcontroller circuits for control of LED lighting utilizing Cypress PSOC3 system on chip devices
and Microchip PIC microcontrollers.
SORAA
Test Engineer Fremont, Ca August 2010 - May 2012
Created flex circuit design for MR-16 LED replacement lamp. This design allowed Soraa to create their first
lamp product.
Designed and Setup of the engineering and product testing lab for Soraa lamp products.
Created several Labview automated test software applications for the control and acquisition of design
parameters on Soraa products.
EXCLARA
IC Verification Engineer Santa Clara March 2008 - May 2010
Designed and implemented Labview applications for the control and acquisition of test parameters for the
Exclara LED Control IC.
Designed and implemented test fixtures, Microchip firmware, and Labview software for the control and
data acquisition of Exclara split winding power supplies.
Train manufacturing personnel in Chinese factory
XICOM TECHNOLOGY
Digital Test Engineer Santa Clara, Ca April 2006 - March 2008
Mentored engineering staff on the use and implementation of programmable logic.
Created test strategies for the testing on the manufacture of Traveling Wave Tube amplifiers.
NORTHROP GRUMMAN CORP
Digital Design Engineer San Jose, Ca September 2000 - April 2006
Design of digital PWB's used for aircraft radar warning systems. These designs were utilized in military
aircraft for foreign and domestic air forces.
Implemented a digital design for the Fire-Finder incoming weaponry detection system. Design updated existing
system removing obsolescence and updated with new programmable logic technology.
