Greetings,
I am interested in learning more of the opportunity in information technology & technical support with your organization. I am a Navy veteran with a great deal of superlative customer service and IT experience whether in a business or a lab setting. My objective is to acquire a permanent position enabling me to demonstrate my diligent work ethic for the success of your organization..
I am an ethical, hard working team member looking to leverage my skills for the success of your organization. I offer over 20 years experience in information systems & office administration, including hardware/software installation & support, help desk support, network administration & maintenance, software development (engineering, designing, installation, implementation & maintenance), database development & administration, web application development, web site administration, maintenance, & development (including individual web page design & development), & computer system operations (IBM mainframe & mini’s, Digital, HP, Univac, & DataGeneral).
A few of my career highlights include direct hardware & software support of Cornell University's NOC, Comptroller's office, campus community & various DOD organizations. For example, I spearheaded the development of fleet management software (converting an old ULLS-G motor-pool application to a full fledged multi-user Windows application with an Oracle back-end) for Special Forces units on Ft. Bragg, NC. Various databases I have worked with are SQL Server, DB2, MS Access, Paradox, dBase, and FoxPro. All through my IT career (ie: Navy, Cornell, DOD), I have performed various help desk & desk top support functions at Tier I & II, both as a main duty and as part of ‘other duties assigned.’
Other miscellaneous software I have experience with are MS Office, WordPerfect, Lotus 123, One Write Plus, Peach Tree Accounting, Quicken, QuickBooks, BMC’s Remedy (Service Desk management software) and HelpSTAR (help desk software).
I look forward to speaking with you concerning the opportunity. Contact me either by email or phone.
