DAFMAR (Drone Assisted Field Monitoring and Remediation): 08/2015-06/2016 DAFMAR project was a group senior design project. Our goal was to make the existing system autonomous and efficient, by replacing the ground control station with an onboard cpu (RPI). Our responsibility included writing the code necessary to autonomously take pictures, analyzes camera data and wirelessly control an electronic sprinkler system. Establishing Communication between multiple electronics and programming allowed us to meet all of our customer requirements. Design project-Light Tracker: Controls Engineering Project: 01/2014-06/2014 For my control system design course I was part of a group project in which we designed a scaled size model of a solar panel autonomous light tracker. We implemented classroom techniques into the project, such as learning to specify performance criteria for control systems of a P I D. I used MATLAB to assist with tuning my PID constants and then was able to verify performance and limitations of my system with LabVIEW. WORK EXPERIENCE
Rice Hulls Alternative Buildings Project Intern (R.H.A.B): 06/2013-06/2014
● Presented our Project Research and Development at the EPA P3 Sustainable Conference (APRIL 2014)
● I assisted in writing a technical report which lead to our project being awarded “Phase 2” of the EPA award
● Performed thermal testing on our concept building components to measure key thermal properties
● Working in a team of various types of engineering students strengthened my ability to work in a group
● EPA P3 AWARD Research Project
VSC Advanced Data Analyst:
08/15-present
● I met with faculty and team members to discuss project objectives
● Worked remotely with a team to write code for scripts or programs on google drive
● I programmed in html, JavaScript, python and used the google API ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
