Professional Experience
RELIANCE WORLDWIDE CORPORATION, Atlanta, GA 2017 Present
Contractor
Develop Wi-Fi firmware embedded applications in C, C++ for a noninvasive wireless smart water flow meter. The application measures the flow rate, freeze and leak alert, and it sends the results via Wi-Fi to the Amazon AWS cloud. The meter is monitored by mobile phone apps. Wrote the NTP system time synchronization and the and MD5 hash function to support secure and reliable download a new software release over the air.
The development is done on TI micro controller CC3200 single link using the CC3200SDK and TI RTOS OS.
CIENA CORPORATION, Alpharetta, GA 2008 2016
Software Lead Engineer
Participated in team that designed and developed in C++ under Linux, real time software applications utilizing using Object Oriented (OO) methodology for an optical switch. The applications support OTN, SONET / SDH, ETHERNET LLDP, and LACP network protocols.
Designed and developed an embedded application, allowing users to create, modify, delete, assign and unassigned unique congestion avoidance (CA) profile to different queue in the group queue based on weighted random early detection (WRED) algorithm.
Implemented and maintained commands line interface (CLI), supporting configuration, management and monitoring new Ethernet switching line module (ESLM) board.
Created an automatic protection switching (APS) for an OTN optical switch., implementing 1 to N protection algorithm based on requirement spec, writing and performing SIT test cases, verifying feature functionality, and increasing software quality.
Architected, developed, and maintained performance monitoring (PM) application, monitoring network element (NE) performance based on OTN, SONET / SDH and ETHERNET protocols. The application provides real time system performance data per client’s requests and generates periodical performance historical data.
Wrote and supported TL1 interface commands and GUI interface commands based on XML, supporting node element (NE) configuration and management.
BAE SYSTEMS, Wayne NJ 2007 2008
Software Engineer Consultant Defense Contractor
Designed and developed in C++ software interface for military GPS. The software implemented GPS serial interface protocol (GSIP) as defined by Department of Defense.
MOTOROLA MOBILE DEVICES, South Plainfield NJ 2006 2007
Software Engineer
Performed as team lead to design, develop, integrate, and support complex real time software applications for latest 3G CDMA mobile devices. Utilized Six Sigma process to design and code under Window and UNIX environment using clear-case DTTS and CMM / CMMI practices. Analyzed requirements for new features and performed requirement trace-ability.
Developed and maintained middleware multi-threading software applications in C and C++ using binary runtime environment for wireless (BREW) and object oriented (OO) methodology, providing display capability for multimedia, menus, games, and internet applications.
Received Motorola BRAVO award for initiative and outstanding job performance.
XYBION, Cedar Knolls NJ 2005 2006
Principal Software Engineer
Designed and developed in C++ client server application using visual studio .NET C++ and XML server for complex medical system. Wrote GUI using .NET, MFC, ATL COM XML protocol to support client interfaces, data visualization and data analysis.
DATA SCOPE, Mahwah NJ 2002 2005
Principal Software Engineer
Performed as team leader to design, develop and manage real-time software applications for complex medical devices. Used design and coding that were strictly process-oriented and ISO9000 and FDA compliant, such as object oriented (OO) C++ running under Window and real time VxWorks OS using rational clear-case tool.
Designed and implemented an automatic test system (ATS), simultaneously testing multiple medical devices; reducing manufacture time and cost and increasing product quality. Developed remote-control communication protocol and real-time embedded client utility, fully controlling, and managing device during test.
Wrote driver interface for new flash device, supporting image downloading and flash boot. The driver supports different types of flash devices and can easily accommodate other flash devices as needed.
