PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Consulting Various Companies 2006 – 2009, 2014 – 2017 As a consultant I have been a member of various teams doing various projects. I have worked in a hospital environment replacing laptops and workstations. I have reimaged laptops and workstations as well as performed physical maintenance and replacement of components for laptops and workstations. I have replaced and configured network printers and MFPs. I also have experience working with high-level executives and vice presidents. I have removed folders as well as organizational units via Active Directory and Novell services. I also created secondary and shared e-mail accounts through Microsoft Exchange as well as distribution lists through Exchange. I was part of a team replacing POTS phones with Labbra Bluetooth headsets, speakers, and telephone handsets as well as configuring & troubleshooting the devices with Lync. I have also been in a team that remotely installed Office 2016 on numerous machines with varying degrees of network connectivity and computer performance. We had to determine per user how to best perform the installations based on those various criteria. I also installed Office 365 on a Macintosh laptop since Outlook and Skype for Business could not be run on the laptop via Office 2016. I have done roll-outs of other Mac products as well as PC products and peripherals. I have even been on teams and worked solo with various banks to replace their equipment, done inventory, and would be on call with the engineers to perform the driver installs into the servers as well as perform any troubleshooting while onsite. I also was placed in charge of declaring the site complete. Finally, I have done my own consulting for clients to build and maintain SOHO networks and equipment (PCs, servers, routers, switches, WAPs, network & local printers, and secure profiles with specific access priveledges)

Network Technician Spacenet, Inc 2013 – 2014

As a Network Technician my role was to monitor the network traffic of our clients from their remote locations to their headquarters via satellite transmissions. The transmissions were to be translated from radio frequency to TCP/IP over fiber optics or cable. While monitoring activities I would troubleshoot all problems – minute or serious – that would occur between the satellite transmissions and the cable and fiber switches that were maintained by Sprint, AT&T and Comcast. I would also maintain contact with the customers, my superiors, and our locations in both Chicago, IL and Marietta, GA. As part of the troubleshooting procedures I would coordinate with the Marietta, GA location to switch the signal relay, as well as document network trouble via sniffer programs.

Systems Administrator Illinois Institute of Technology 2012 – 2013 As a Systems Administrator I built new machines with both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7. The 64-bit Windows 7 machines also had Windows XP running on VirtualPC. I also supported the existing Windows 7 machines, local and network printers and MFPs. I also supported their Microsoft Office programs and various databases that were utilized in the department. I also maintained network connectivity for new and existing users in the department. End-User Support Associate Metra (NIRCRC) 2009 – 2012 As an End-User Support Associate I built and maintained all the systems and peripherals utilized by the company's employees. I performed technical support, PC and server builds, network maintenance, wire management, remote troubleshooting, installs, upgrades, file security, profile recovery, computer and server backups as well as the liaisons to consultants contracted by the company to support local and network printers and MFPs. I refined my troubleshooting skills, my diagnostic skills, and customer service skills. I was in charge of deployment of various equipment and technologies that spanned several disciplines and departments.
