Innovation of Curbell Medical Disposable ECG Lead Wires Senior Project: Team of four working with Curbell Medical to create innovative design that improves upon current disposable ECG lead wire design. To be completed in Spring 2017.
Analysis of Cartilage Depth Dependence of Dynamic Local Shear Strain: Analyzed confocal microscopic images to determine effects of depth on local shear strain on cartilage and mechanical properties. MATLAB code developed and used to conduct statistical testing to display plots of sinusoidal trends and changes in local shear amplitude and phase angle over distance of image.
3-D Printed Prosthetic Hand Vibrating Motor Circuit: With partner designed an inexpensive, yet effective circuit that could be attached to a 3-D printed prosthetic hand designed for children, allowing for sense of touch to be relayed from the fingertip to vibrating motor attached to circuit, thereby simulating touch at varying frequencies for user. Circuit design was entered for Lemelson-MIT Student Award by direct invitation from Lemelson-MIT Student Award committee personnel.
MATLAB Program Project: Team of three, developed MATLAB program to analyze child hearing utilizing the 2D1U
(Two Down, One Up) Method. Project was meant to emulate actual cutting-edge hearing programs used today that monitor children hearing and tone detection.
Biomechanics MATLAB Analysis Project: Analyzed Sit-to-Stand Mechanisms employed by two individuals and graphically represented the forces, accelerations, and position of each person in both the y- and z-axes. BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING EXERIENCE
