Beazer Homes

Successfully managed the start-up and development of VMware ESX environment to virtualize production and development servers at primary, secondary and disaster recovery datacenters. Cutting hardware and maintenance costs as well as reducing workload on staff.

Spearheaded the successful implementation of server consolidation to reduce power consumption at primary and secondary datacenters. This was a secondary project to the VMware implementation.

Designed and implemented enterprise level SAN that spans 2 datacenters and a disaster recovery site utilizing Cisco MDS series switches.

Implemented disaster recovery site to facilitate rapid restoration of critical applications and communications.

Implemented WAN acceleration technologies between datacenter and remote sites to reduce number of servers, thereby reducing operational costs and saved team numerous hours of maintenance time.

Team member participating in the design and implementation of Xen virtual desktop environment, replacing 90% of

Company laptops/desktop thick clients with thin clients. This reduced support and maintenance costs dramatically.
