Analyzed physicochemical properties and proximal composition of achachairú fruit grown in Puerto Rican soils following Analytical Chemistry Standardized methods in order to introduce it to the market
Evaluated the acceptability of the achachairú on a 7-point hedonic scale after fifteen storage days
Discovered a significant weight loss of more than 30% and determined that the shell life is up to fifteen days

Physic and Chemistry Characterization of the Corm’s Starch of Xanthosoma sagittifolium Jan 13 – May 13
Evaluated physicochemical and functional properties of native starch obtained from the taro to be used as a raw material
Discovered that starch content was 1.10% protein, 2.44% fat, 0.23% ash, 6% amylase and 84% amylopectin
