January 1999 to January 2000 I was assigned to Harley Davidson York Facility. Here I continued my career with Ajilon and worked on Harley’s Y2K Project from The Client Server side. My responsibilities included doing a complete audit of Harleys Client/Server Systems and analyzing any and all Y2K Impacts on them. More information available upon request.

I worked at Pennsylvania National Insurance on the Year 2000 Client/Server project from September 1997 to October 1998, my responsibilities were to design a comprehensive Y2K plan and implement changes or upgrades to insure that PNI would be year 2000 compliant from both a software and Hardware stand point. This included all of the non client/server platforms such as elevators, security systems, HVAC, and PBX etc. My duties began at PNI by taking an extensive and thorough inventory of the systems that might be affected by Y2K.This process lasted from September 1997 to January of 1998 this process was very intensive and I was the only person on the project besides a staffed manager of PNI whose function was to review progress only. In January I began laying out a detailed project plan, test matrix, Database of my initial findings, Filing system for compliancy statements from vendors. I then worked up a complete hardware inventory and also created and began requesting the needed testing lab in which to verify Y2K compliance.

My duties further required the complete setup from racks to power cords of the testing lab which consisted of three servers, two NT Servers and one Novell Server, Six workstations representative of PNI’s hardware all of which were required to communicate to the mainframe and pull data via TCP/IP protocols... The purpose of the lab was to test not only software but hardware as well and to validate the claims of the vendors who said they were compliant.
