I'm not authorized to speak on behalf of my employer, so these comments are from my personal perspective as a colleague who guided his efforts while working with us here in California. I can tell you that we brought Roy in as a consultant for a year to help alleviate our backlog of Notes development projects. Aside from a couple of on-site visits for meetings, Roy worked remotely from his Chicago address. Roy dove in quickly and tackled every challenge with enthusiasm, whether it was low-level maintenance and tweaking, or high-level design of new systems. He worked within our coding standards to ensure that the stuff he touched could be supported by anyone on the team. He offered plenty of ideas for improving our applications, as well as our business processes.

He enjoyed interacting with our customers and received plenty of kind words from them about his talent and enthusiasm. Lastly, Roy proved to be a flexible consultant, shifting his hours to match ours (we're at opposite ends of the country), while offering us very affordable rates, whether working remotely (via VPN and Sametime) or on site.

John P M Dillon, Software Application Architect

Teledyne Scientific & Imaging, LLC

Roy worked for me in a contracting capacity for one year spanning 2011/12, which included a four-month extension. During this time Roy worked exclusively out of his home office, but was more than willing to come into corporate headquarters whenever necessary. I never had cause to question his work habits or productivity. I would characterize Roy's development skills as advanced. His output was always of high quality and very well documented. Roy has excellent communication skills. Roy's best quality is his desire and ability to make his co-workers better. He loves to learn and share what he's learned with others. Roy would be an asset and strong contributor to any Notes/Domino/XPages shop. I would not hesitate to employ his services again, if the need arose.

I had the pleasure of working with Roy on several Lotus Notes development projects. Roy s professional, enthusiastic, and helpful attitude made him very easy to work with. Roy was able to clarify vague and ambiguous business needs into clear and well documented requirements. I was impressed with how quickly he could then translate those requirements into fully functional applications. Roy also found ways to squeeze in extra features and last minute requests, while keeping deliverables on time and on budget. Roy was my Lotus Notes guru. I could go to Roy with any Lotus Notes issue knowing that it would be solved on the spot or a short time later.

Paul Demczak, Project Manager

Morey Corporation

Roy began as a consultant and because of his work and expertise I brought him on board as a fulltime employee. He is a strong Lotus Notes programmer who is both dedicated and a pleasure to work with. He is a creative developer whose experience enables him to develop quickly and accurately. He sees difficult problems as a challenge to be overcome. He is a pleasure to work with and a good team player

Tim Walter, Director of Web Prog-Infrastructure

Roy worked with me on a group of very complex projects at Kimball Hill Homes, one of the larger home builders in the U.S. There was a need to not only implement the Lotus Notes/Domino email solutions, but also to facilitate the distribution of management reports to Kimball Hill's various regional offices. Prior to deploying this new feature, KHH had to print these reports and send them via FedEx or UPS. The ability to deliver them electronically resulted in KHH recognizing a full return on their investment within a year, just based on the bills from those two carriers alone. Another, even more difficult project was integrating their accounting and subcontractor management systems to the Domino platform. It provided KHH to deploy all of the details regarding the construction of a house to the project managers in charge of the various subdivisions. The project manager could enter information about a subcontractor's efforts on a laptop. When he next synchronized with the home office system, the application sent that updated information to the accounting system, and any new billings from the subcontractor was sent back to the laptop. The result of this was that the subcontractors no longer had to call the home office to inquire about payments, and the home office personnel were saved the effort of tracking down the project manager to find out how much work the subcontractor had completed.

This resulted in probably a 15% reduction in headcount at the home office accounting department, and the accuracy of information traveling in both directions increased a couple hundred percent.

Roy did a great job, and as I can attest, worked many long hours with me to bring these various projects in ahead of time and under budget. Anybody would benefit from having Roy on their team.

Paul Nelson, Project Manager

Kimball Hill Homes

Roy and I worked very closely in 1999 in preparation of Y2K. Roy was heading up the remediation of our Domino applications and Windows systems, and I was heading up the Domino server remediation efforts. We had over 100 servers to assess and correct in less than 6 months. Roy wrote several applications to speed up and automate the process. His "can-do" attitude was crucial to getting management's buy-in to our plans and schedule. When it was all said, and done, we were able to address every server in the company on-time and within budget parameters. When January 1, 2000 rolled around, it was very quiet in the ITOC (the Tenneco data center). Worldwide, there was not a single Windows or Domino server that reported an error. This was in no small part due to the efforts of Roy. Roy is a professional with many talents in many technological disciplines. What sets him apart from most other technical resources is his professionalism and dedication to his customers. He will not rest until the job is done properly.
