Project Description

The Basel II Retail Credit Teradata Repository project will be responsible for implementing the Teradata Repository which will store all data elements required for the development and execution of Basel II Retail Credit PD, LGD, and EAD models, as well as for ongoing Retail Credit analysis. In order to implement this solution, the P60k project team will need to complete the following core objectives:

Modeling Retail Credit Data Structures within the Basel II Retail Credit Teradata Repository

The data elements for each Retail Credit Line of Business (LOB) will be modeled within the Teradata container based on the Core Data deliverables produced by the Historical Data Collection Projects, combined with the RWA required data elements. The Core Data deliverables are inputs to the P60 Data Sourcing & Gap Remediation projects, which in turn, will create the resulting Data Requirements and Metadata documents to be leveraged by the P60k Teradata Repository project. The P60 Data Sourcing & Gap Remediation projects will be responsible for combining the Core Data deliverables with the RWA required data elements within these documents. Along with specifying the data elements required by the Core Data Request and the RWA Calculator, the Data Requirements and Metadata documents will also specify any data transformations which will need to be applied to the data. The following P60 Data Sourcing & Gap Remediation projects will be providing Data Requirement and Metadata document inputs to the P60k project team:

This project will deliver on the following objectives:

Ensure that all data required for ongoing Basel II Retail Credit analysis is available within the Basel II Retail Credit Teradata Repository online or via archival retrieval

Implement the Basel II Retail Credit Teradata Repository in accordance with the Data Governance and Retail Credit Business Data Quality standards and requirements

Responsibility

Have worked as an Abinitio onshore tech lead, in this project, and have been involved in lead activities from offshore, which involve interaction with BSA and clients for clear understanding of requirements, proper work allocation to the offshore team members, along with review and follow ups, providing technical guidance to the team, and preparation of project metrics/trackers etc.

Have performed enhancements and tested applications using Ab-Initio in accordance with the Functional and Technical specifications. Worked with the project team to ensure that the program meets all requirements.

Have Created Technical Design Documents for ETL graphs and Unit Test case documents for graphs and scripts.

Project Description

Digital Platform Team processes all Data captured during customers' interactions with the bank via Web/Mobile by applying required business rules and loads it to EDW. EDW data is then analyzed for better servicing of existing customers, cross selling of products to existing customers and identify prospective customers.

The 4 streams of the Digital Application receive source feeds from the legacy source systems, which is then picked up by the ETL tool Abinitio, and then processed for data quality, followed by application of business rules and loading of transformed data into the target EDW Data warehouse which has been built on Teradata. The data, would then be acted upon by Reporting Tools like Business Objects and Cognos, to prepare reports based on which the Capital One Business Users can take their decision on fine tuning and improving their online banking and mobile banking portfolios.

Capital One Auto Finance is remodeling the entire analytical data warehouse environment by reaching out to the different business groups about their analytical needs and then restructuring the entire auto data warehouse. The new data warehouse is going to be built on a third normal form and the data is going to be loaded across the bank, mortgage and auto data warehouses based on the subject area of the data that is being loaded. This will enable cross business line analytics at an enterprise level in the future thereby proving a world class analytics platform. The initial delivery of the DEP3 project is aligned by subject areas.

The Teradata migration project comprised of fork lifting all data supporting current business intelligence needs, from SQL Server analytical environment to enterprise Teradata environment and converti-ng all legacy SQL Sever DTS packages into DDE for simplified and efficient data acquisition and integration environment. The project involved conversion of DTS packages to equivalent Abinitio code which is in the form of Abinitio graphs based on DDE( Data Development Environment ).DDE is specific to the client and the coding was done based on pre-defined DDE standards and patterns.
