Resume:

Cover Letter To whom it may concern

Please accept this letter as a demonstration of my interest in the Nurse Practitioner position at your institution. I graduated from Walden University in August 2016 with a Master Degree in Nursing and obtained my Family Nurse Practitioner Diploma in September 2016. I had a year of practicum hours helping to perform the prospective role of a FNP. Although I do not have the 2 years experience as an NP, I do have numerous years as a nurse. I received the title of Registered Nurse in 1983 from the University of Chile and obtained a Canadian and American Registered Nurse validation in 1993 and 1996 respectively.

I have thirty-three years of experience in an array of departments requiring specialized skills and intense training. After graduating, I began my career in a GI-surgical unit where I learned to prioritize and delegate. I continued my journey to a medical-surgical department. I was rapidly promoted to the progressive care unit, and later to the intensive care where I gained experience in teamwork, critical thinking, delegating, supervising, and time management. Seven years later, I moved to Toronto, Canada and passed the Nursing Board Exam with one of the highest scores. I worked in a neurosurgery intensive care, attended and received a neuroscience program diploma. I moved to the United States in 1996, to work in a long-term acute care facility where I learned the chronic aspect of disease control and prevention of complications. From 1997 to now I have been employed in critical care, trauma, CVICU, emergency department, nurse supervisor, and clinical education. I have been a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses since 1984, the American Heart Association since 1997, and recently joined the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. I also held the position of Primary Nurse Planner to continue nursing education at the Heart Hospital of Austin and Cedar Park Regional Medical Center through the Texas Nurses Association.

Once you review the information provided, I am certain you will find my skills, experience, dedication to serve, and education match the person necessary for the position. I hope you will give me the opportunity to demonstrate not only my professional, but interpersonal attributes. The attached resume contains my work experience, professional licenses, and academic education. Due to my extensive experience, the resume encompasses a small sample of certificates; the others are available upon request.

Attentively,

Elizabeth Silva Baeza, RN, MSN, FNP-C, CCRN

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Elizabeth Silva-Baeza. I have known and worked with Elizabeth for well over a year. We worked side by side in the Emergency Room at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and I have been her Medical Director for the last year. Ms. Silva-Baeza is one of the most intelligent and hard working nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She has excellent critical thinking skills. She has the unique ability to be a strong leader while maintaining compassion. She handles enormous amounts of stress with grace and dignity. I think that she will do amazing things in her newest endeavor. I give her my highest recommendation! I have told her that if she decides to go into emergency medicine when she has completed her training to call me so that I can hire her for my ED. She will be great in whatever specialty she ultimately decides on.

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter on behalf of Elizabeth Silva-Baeza. I had the pleasure of precepting her during clinical rotations through her FNP program family medicine rotations. I also observed her while she rotated with colleagues of mine. As a whole, I have nothing but glowing things to say about Elizabeth. Patients loved her and asked her to say on in our clinic after graduating. She has an incredible thirst for learning and one of the highest work drives I’ve ever seen in a student. I am quite sure that she will succeed in whatever field she chooses. Not only is she an incredibly sharp professional, but she also has a wonderful depth of character. She has triumphed over many personal lifetime challenges and these make her warm and caring to patients and an all-round beautiful human. I have an extremely high recommendation for Elizabeth and know that she will be a wonderful provider for her patients.

Kindest regards,

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Elizabeth Silva-Baeza. I have known and worked with Elizabeth for 6 years, first while she was the Education Director of our hospital and more recently as my student during rotations in her FNP program. Elizabeth is very smart and hard-working, respected by her peers and a phenomenal resource of information with her vast experience as a nurse. Elizabeth is a natural leader in her profession and will be an excellent Nurse Practitioner. She has excellent critical thinking skills and is able to multitask and appropriately prioritize situations as they arise with confidence. It is for these reasons that I give her my highest recommendation. I would welcome her whole-heartedly if the opportunity presents itself to be able to work side by side with her once again.
