Database Developer/Administrator

Developed C# programs and SSIS packages to import utility company customer billing records into SQL Server databases. Electric, Water, and Gas utilities periodically uploaded their account and billing records to an FTP server as CSV files. The format of these files was unique to each utility and required custom programs and SQL scripts to be written to convert their data into a consistent format to be validated and then inserted into each utility’s database. Once uploaded, the data could then be analyzed for meter tampering by the customer or an incorrectly installed or configured meter.

The software was written as a multi-tenant application which was most commonly run on corporate servers, but was sometimes installed on the utility’s own servers.
