GUI Project for Image Reconstruction –Medical Image Processing

Using Matlab, 2-D images were reconstructed using sets of 1-D projections.

Radon, iradon, fanbeam, and ifanbeam were used to form projections from a sample image and then reconstructed the image from these projections.

Comparison between parallel-beam and fan-beam geometries was done by creating synthetic projections for each and later using them to reconstruct the original image. The test image used was a Shepp-Logan head phantom which can be generated using the function phantom. WORK EXPERIENCE

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER TRAINEE

Tawam Hospital Biomedical Division- Al Ain Feb 2016-Present Gained experience in

Electrical safety, general quality testing and troubleshooting of Biomedical Equipment.

General Understanding of functioning of imaging devices, ECG and other biomedical devices.
