Massachusetts Army National Guard, Bedford, MA 01731 (Part-Time) [Active Secret Clearance] 1998-Present

Massachusetts Army National Guard Logistics Officer with secret security clearance. Past experiences include Company Commander, Liaison Officer to Canadian forces, recently promoted to the rank of Major and selected for Command.

Environmental Program Manager (Full Time) 2012-2015

Developed department synchronization within the corporate structure. Built lasting relationships between state employees and federal employees to facilitate program development and open more areas to training. Created comprehensive training program for employees. Discarded redundancies and creating a system for inventory all property and equipment then balanced on hand and eliminate excess which freed up space, allow new products to be in stock, all with zero loss of property.

Massachusetts Army National Guard (Deployment to Kuwait) 2010-2011

Safety officer with up to 2500 employees, a fleet of 500 vehicles, maintenance facilities, administrative areas and housing areas which all functioned under extreme environments and long hours.

Select Accomplishments:

Managed safety and environmental programs with a strong emphasis on investigating incidents, managing the OSHA 300, trend analysis, risk mitigation, training, and the creation of a robust safety committee. This reduced accidents, prevented damage to equipment and saved lives. Demonstrated by No Class A or B incidents and a cost savings of $25,000 due reduction of driver accidents.

Award Winning Program: When measured against all like units the safety program scored 97% efficiency.

Wrote safety and environmental policies to include Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), Hazardous Waste Management Plan, Site Safety Plans and numerous Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) for specific pieces of equipment and machinery.

Environmental Engineer for a mid-sized tape manufacturing company. Responsibilities included yearly reporting, managing of all hazardous waste, ordering personnel protective equipment and supplies as needed and managing the radiation safety program to include permitting devices.

Select Accomplishments:

Managed hazardous waste, consistent oversight of the satellite accumulation areas, manifest and MSD’s, reporting to state and federal agencies, Toxic Use Reduction Planner (TURP) which lead to decreasing the amount of toxics while increasing production each year.

Created a laboratory safety program for safe handling, storage and distribution of hazardous materials.

Consolidated ordering of personnel protective equipment, spill supplies and created stock rotation that lead to cost savings of $500 within the first 3 months.

Emergency Management which prepared the facility and trained individuals for spill cleanup and managed outside agencies and inspectors during and after the incident.

Permitted Oxford 3000 in accordance with Massachusetts Radiation Control Program.
