Extensive coordination meetings with Client, PMC, Various utility companies, adjacent construction consultants and contractors which improved construction and avoided conflicts and delays.

Performed value engineering on various items by checking possible overdesign areas and applying efficient construction methods which led to Client savings of over $100 million

Developed and applied strict safety procedures for all workforce which allowed for achieving 15 million man-hours without lost time injuries.

Hill International-Middle East Nov-2008 to Nov-2011

Assigned as Construction Manager (Client Representative) to Administer and coordinate supervision consultant and contractors for the completion of two major highways projects in the City of Al Ain UAE. The Position requires managing supervising consultants and contractors to construct new 18 kM highway and interchanges connecting Dubai traffic to Al Ain Airport at a value of $170 million. The work included massive utility relocations (Waterlines, 33 KV cables, Pylons, Electric transformers, communication lines …etc.) Also the construction of new 33 KM north bound highway at a value of $86 million. Duties of the Construction Manager are:

Implemented strict safety procedures which led to achieving 5 Million Man-Hours without lost time injuries.

Implemented new procedures to utilize existing utilities in lieu of new items which led to $25 million savings for the client along with reducing time impact.

Assessing variation and claims submitted by the contractor and recommending solutions.

Monitoring costs, quality and time for the completion of work according to contract documents. Advising clients on procedures to mitigate slippage.
