Lead the development of five hundred associates in a culture shift supporting VW.
Associates were located inside the VW plant and CKD warehouses within the VW.
Streamlined inventory control system utilizing gatekeepers to confirm all internal material moves improving inventory accuracy to 99.5%.
Implemented KPI tracking system focused on customer downtime which reduced DT from an average of nineteen minutes per month to zero Implemented end of line Production Analysis Boards focusing on hourly pick expected counts verses actual. Daily management walks were implemented and production analysis boards were used for line side problem solving. This resulted in a 10% improvement in direct labor hours per piece by 12%.
Implemented Hot Call process which decreased downtime from supplier based Quality issue by 25%. This allowed emergency delivery to be transported to direct point of use.
Improved container management area by designating a logistics timed pick up triggered a visual Kanban system. Container management central collection area which delivered to 9 other plants on Milk Run system.
Directed the Continuous Improvement Team’s implementation of VW supplier quality walk liaison between VW and their supply base to assist in resolving packaging and quality issues. This improved on-time delivery by 15%.

Initiated Water Spider process in the John Deer weld area improving pcs per hour by 5 per hour.

Global World Class Tier 1 trend setter for automotive interior components for all major OEM’s such as Daimler Chrysler, GM, Ford, Nissan North America & China Auto markets. Both Plants Focusing on Urethane Foam in-place, Head-rest and Arm-rest, producing 35k parts per day in eighteen different robotic and manual foam lines, supplying seven (7) JIT Plants. Total combined sale for Milan and Wuxi averaged $58 Million annual sales. The Milan Plant was a True Profit Center with average of 400 Non-union facility supplying Ford, GM, Chrysler, Lear, plus 7 JIT other Magna plants.
Implemented a cross circle strategy where departments shared overlap with each of the other departments utilizing a self - lean survey to develop a lean journey transformation master plan. This “roadmap” forged a path for both plants teams to come in under budget all three years.
Implemented water spider delivery of cut parts to sewing cells which improve sewing productivity by 21%
Initiated pull system in cut and sew area to reduce finished inventory from 10 days to 3 days.
Initiated the 5 S programs for process focusing on scrap reduction. Visual management implemented for scrap vs. supplier return which improved scrap by 70%.
