Brake Drum Failure Analysis April ’16

Analyzed the cause of brake drum failure in construction/ heavy hauling vehicles. Data was acquired from the quality department and compared with the FEA results to know the reason for the crack. Results were studied, it was found that due to imbalance of weight, brake drum was not able to resist the increasing load. Steady State Cornering Performance of Three Vehicles Jul ’15 Steady state equilibrium condition for lateral acceleration of 0.1 – 0.5gs was determined and the goal of the project was to determine the understeer gradient as a function of lateral acceleration. This was supported with plots and tables to give an overview of the similarities or difference between three vehicles. Design, Development and Performance Evaluation of a Solar Still Jan ’12 - Jun ’12 Designed, fabricated and analyzed a solar still that would produce potable water. The highlight was usage of low-tech option for distillation i.e. SOLAR ENERGY. Water obtained was tested and the quality of the distillate was found to be satisfactory.
