PROJECT: DECEASED [Wells Fargo]

DECEASED: DECEASED is a web application that takes care of processing claims on deceased customer accounts[Wells Fargo’s account holders]. DECEASED is developed in PRPC. It deals with end to end process of managing accounts and claims for deceased customers. When a claimaint requests for claims on the decedent’s account, DECEASED creates a case, routes information to all products owned by the deceased and notifies all the necessary documents to be submitted by claimant. Based on the details of deceased customer’s account type, nominees, claimant’s relationship with deceased, claims process is initiated and upon receiving approvals from different products owned, case is closed accordingly.

PROJECT: IRW [Interest Reporting Web] [Wells Fargo]

Interest Reporting (IR): The IR application ensures compliance with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filing requirements for tax and information reporting. IR is a mainframe application that processes interest reported on accounts. The application generates original and corrected tax statements for printing and on-line viewing. IR submits filing information to the IRS and various state agencies. The IRS filing, as an example, is completed by compiling tax data files and transmitting that data electronically via a secured website to the IRS every March and throughout the rest of the year.

Interest Reporting Web (IRW): IRW is a web-enabled browser front-end application to the IR application. It is used by various customer servicing groups such as the Phone Bank and the Portland and Sioux Falls Servicing Centers to view, add, and update customer tax information. No data is stored in the IRW application; it is used only as a pass-through to the mainframe.

PROJECT: EAT [Extra Emulator Automation Tool] [Wells Fargo]

EAT: EAT is Extra Automation Tool, which is developed as a tool to test Extra emulator mainframe screens. The main idea behind developing this tool is automate all the work flow, jobs execution, process flows with out any manual intervention. A Key word driven framework is degined so as to help manual test engineers to automate the flow.

Extra emulator comes with an COM plug-in to connect through VB Script. Creation of instance to “Extra.Application” object gives an ability to communicate to Extra emulator through its child methods.

Safe Deposit Box (SDB): SDB is a Retail/Compliance web application that tracks all activities related to the management of Safe Deposit Boxes including key deposits, customer billing, auto-debit functions for fee and key deposit collection, fee discounts,fee waivers, drill notices, escheatment CIP tracking nest management and all box history.

Safe Deposit Box (SX): SX is an in-house developed and supported application that runs on the Minneapolis mainframe. SX houses the data related to all safe deposit boxes physically residing in the Wells Fargo Stores. SX is provided data about the safe deposit boxes using the 3270 screens and the SVP web service interface. The data about the safe deposit boxes includes the details about the open boxes, box closes, change in box information and payments for the boxes allotted to the customers, late fees, customer discounts and others. All the information about the customer discounts and auto debit transactions are sent to Hogan. CIP information is captured and sent on for additional processing.

CSC's Exceed® can quickly add new capabilities to customer’s business. It's designed by insurance professionals to help the customers to cut costs, enhance customer's experience and respond quickly to market changes. Exceed insurance administration software is in use at many of the world's leading property and casualty/general carriers that manage core business functions including policy processing for personal lines, and billing and claims for all lines of business.

Exceed Billing is a CSC Product, which holds all the payments and transaction of policy holders. The payments or any accounting transactions done by the customer are entered into the system through this application. It is used by the accounting representative of Exceed. The business rules would differ from state to state. The different applications tested were Exceed Billing, Exceed Policy and claim center. Few of the key areas and benefits of Exceed Billing are Automate Billing, Provide policy holders with multiple billing and payment options, Integrity with different sibling products like Exceed Policy, Claim center, Improve customer service & Cash flow, Increase Agent productivity etc.
