Systems Engineer II

I am in charge of the administration of a mixed networking environment including Novell, Windows, Unix and Linux server platforms with more that 300 client machines. I perform a high level remote and local helpdesk services using VNC, WebEx, TeamViewer and PCAnywhere covering sites that spread through Kennedy Space Center area and the Orlando International Airport in Florida. Supported and participated on the selection, implementation and administration of Retail Pro (retail POS software), RTP (New ticketing system) and Micros Symphony (Foods POS software). I’m also in charge of the administration of the Avaya 450 PBX for the Visitor complex and worked the migration project from the old Definity system, and the IP Office PBX for the Astronaut Hall Of Fame (VoIP system). I also perform administration of Cisco products like switches, wireless access points and routers.

Administration of other systems, like Eatec, Caterease, Meeting Matrix, MP2, previous Omni Ticketing system, GroupWise, JDS Video security system using IP video cameras, NRS (NASA Reporting Server), Infor’s EAM, and a suite of add-ons for the call center like Call Copy, eCas Call Accounting, and Call Back Assist.

I am expanding the network continuously using Fiber, Microwave or just Ethernet cable to support the always growing company needs as a very common task that includes capacity planning and vendor/contractor interaction to ensure that the network performance will always be at expected levels.
