Responsible for $50M+ annual spend, over 75 vendors, domestic and international
Took over planning for Mexico plant after its closure and brought down total on-hand inventory from $2.5M to $1M within six months for that product line
Decreased on hand inventory of Racine plant components from $2.5M to $1.5M within six months of accepting position and maintained through 15% sales growth
Set up electronic Kanban’s on multiple parts and vendors to decrease on hand inventory and manage components which were difficult to track usage (magnet wire, aluminum)
Negotiated with vendors to determine best practices (delivery frequency, safety stocks, container quantities)
Worked with other departments on requirements/transitions of new or existing parts/vendors to ensure promised dates and quality were met without impacting production
Maintained and communicated vendor performance metrics as well as working with vendors to correct/improve any deficiencies
Placed orders for components based on demand and lead times
