Principal Hydrogeologist

Led team of professionals and technicians during the capping, closure and eventual re-development of a 243-acre landfill. The site was developed into a regional shopping center.

Conducted routine monitoring, inspections, and permitting in compliance with Local (City of Detroit – DWSD and Wayne County Department of the Environment), State (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) and Federal (US EPA Hazardous Waste) agencies.

Assured the major automotive client of compliance with groundwater, waste water, waste transportation and disposal, surface water, air quality and leachate regulations.

Developed permit tracking system to ensure timely permit renewal and upgrades.

Contracted and supervised subcontract work required throughout site (electricians, leachate disposal, manhole construction, landscaping, environmental clean-up contractor, emergency response).

Researched, installed, and maintained a remote monitoring system for leachate collection.

Project Manager for several landfill expansion permitting projects. These projects included the completion of hydrogeologic site investigations, report preparation, environmental assessments, and wetland identification/delineation/permitting efforts.

As the Mideast Group Hydrogeologist, provided technical support regarding hydrogeologic and environmental compliance, health and safety issues, and expansion efforts at company landfills and hauling company divisions in Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky.

1992-1993 RUST Environment & Infrastructure Livonia, MI Project Hydrogeologist

Led project team for Ground Water Evaluation Project for Waste Management. Project that was instituted would be used for decades involved evaluation of monitoring data at active and closed landfill sites in several states, including statistical analysis, completing trend charts, and preparation of potentiometric surface maps.
