Planned, organized, managed, integrated and complete the Japan Aegis BMD Firm Fixed Price (FFP) KIRISHIMA project. Planned the engineering program; reviewed product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluated and approved design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinated activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Presented VLS status at bi-monthly meetings in Japan with numerous high ranking members of the Japanese Navy and their industry partners.
Participated in the preparation of proposals, negotiation of contract and contract changes, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of the contract. Established milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directed the work of employees assigned to the program. Coordinated the Installation and Checkout aboard the JS KIRISHIMA. Planned for and supported the Flight Test Mission. Contract value $7M+. FFP. Project completed at $6M.
