Network and System Design and Some important Projects(Work Experience):

Used to be a team leader to design and implement switching and routing, network security, datacenter network for Tianjin Highest court. I analyzed network and devices status, summarized routing and security policies. According to client's requirement and my summary, I designed optimized datacenter network. For example, I used OSPF to replace static routing policies to enhance routing function and decrease transmission delay between highest court and other branches. I also planned a Vlan which was only used for video conference. I also integrated security policies, deleted unfashionable and useless entries and worked out new security entries with security and management concern. The core routers were CISCO, I made HSRP for redundancy, other switches were HUAWEI. The servers and storages were mainly IBM and HP, and also we used a group of SUN blade servers for oracle database. Some of servers with 2 disks were made RAID 1, as well as others with more disks were made RAID 5. Sep 2013- Jan 2014

Deploying MPLS-VPN to connect a number of Transformer substations and information center of State Power Grid Tianjin branch. The routers we used are CISCO. Jun - Aug 2013

Used to be a team leader to design and implement PKI/PMI system for Tianjin Public Security Bureau by using NAT, STP, OSPF, IPSec-VPN via CISCO switches, routers and CISCO ASA firewalls, RHEL 6.2 and Windows Server 2008. I first established the system and used OSPF to link the system to the network. Secondly, due to the security requirements, I deployed IPSec-VPN to obtain security during data transmission, furthermore, I also used ASA firewalls to achieve access control--only authorized IP addresses can be allowed to access the system. To obtain higher security, I deployed port mapping for core servers on local switches so that customers could not get real IP of core servers and servers can be protected and prevented from attack logically. The servers we used are IBM x3650 and x3850. I also installed windows server 2008 in most servers and two of them were installed RHEL 6.2 for database, and for redundancy, I deployed RAID 5 for each server when initializing. The database and software were outsourced and developed by other companies, so my duty was to design the network and maintain operating system and servers. Jun-Aug 2012

System integration and datacenter upgrade for Tianjin Fire department. Similar to Tianjin Highest court project, I followed the same procedures. But be different from that project, I had to concern system status and this was my first time to do integration and optimization for server and system. I got help from my colleague. I first established network by following aforementioned procedures. Next I and my colleague analyzed system status, such as server's function, system utilization and traffic etc. Then, I listed all the details and tried to integrate software and database with similar function into the same server. We also did this with server's capacity concern and network demand concern. Finally we calculated the number of servers and operating systems we needed. And then, we deployed servers and operating systems, installed software and database on servers. At last, we migrated data from old system to the new one. I also did test to ensure the new system can run smoothly. The servers in this project we used were IBM x3650 and IBM x3850. Database was SQL server 2008. Jun - Sep 2011

Daily network maintenance and fast response to any emergency disposal for Tianjin Public Security Bureau, State Power Grid Tianjin branch, Tianjin Highest court and any other client if I was not in a project. I usually reacted to network and system emergency in half an hour, 1 hour at most if I met traffic congestion even though at midnight. Until now, I am confident that I could solve problem within an hour because I have worked with so many network emergencies and I have great experiences in this area. 2010- 2014

SDN Design: JAVA, Python, OpenDayLight (Academic Experience)

Using Mininet, Python to simulate SDN-based fabric for flexible data -center networks which is proposed by me and my friends. Using JAVA to deploy routing policies for this topology. Actually, this is a course project. Inspired by the fat-tree topology, I and my friend want to break the traditional layout and design a new network model for datacenter. I read many papers related to SDN-based network, and work with my friend design a switch matrix and link them one by one. Next we generate a routing policy which is dedicated to this topology. As a major programmer, I use Python and mininet to import topology and use JAVA and OpenDayLight to realize forwarding policy. Jan-April 2016
