SOA QA - Service Oriented Architecture QA is centralized web service testing team, which supports web service testing across the domains within Charles Schwab & Co. such as Offer Order, Cashiering Technologies, Customer and Account etc. This project involves testing new functionality, maintenance and minor enhancements which involves analysis, design, coding and testing of the web services, which are requested by the clients using SOAP UI and/or Parasoft SOA Test & Load Test tools.

Project (1) Description: Cashiering Management and Transfer (CMT)

The Cashiering Management and Transfer (CMT) is the business process to transfer money from the Brokerage/Investor checking account to Schwab bank Account for the entire Schwab customer. CMT’s basically doing the Money Transfer using the On-Request or Recurring profile.

We are basically doing the SOA testing using the web service invocation for different operations of Money Transfer, Add, Get, Modify and Approval etc.

Project (2) Description: Customer and Account Web Service Redesign (CAT)

Web Service Redesign is the project where project team will identify all the services which will consume more time and hitting the mainframe DB2 multiple times. Identified services modified with the new .net framework and minimized the fields in the request to improve the performance of the services.

Testing the Redesigned services by comparing the responses with the existing services and performed the Performance Testing to check how far services improved the performance.

Project (3) Description: Digital Messaging (Multi-Platform Based Messaging)

The Digital Messaging is a targeted communication sent to a user regarding a specific event such as Account based, Stock based, transaction based events etc. This project is Multi-Platform based messaging system, centralizes a customer messaging solution for all lines of business within Schwab. It provides the customer with timely, targeted insight into the events surrounding their accounts and investments with Schwab.

Project (4) Description: Integrated Client View (Informatica MDM Based Data Management)

This Software Architecture Document (SAD) covers implementation of a Party Master Data Management (MDM) platform as part of the Integrated Client View (ICV) project. The purpose of the MDM is to centralize currently decentralized customer identifying information (e.g. name, address, SSN, DOB, etc.) across the Firm.

Key Technology: ICV has a vendor product Informatica MDM at its core and will be surrounded by synchronous web services and asynchronous messaging. Services will run on the new Schwab cloud platform (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Messaging on shared Rabbit MQ, the data base will be MSSQL running on the shared SQL Integrated Platform (SIP), caching provided on shared Mongo, and there will be one set of dedicated (vs shared) servers running the MDM hub, data quality, Address Doctor, and file import processes.

Responsibilities:

Worked on Requirement analysis with business team and prepared the Test plan.

Responsible for walkthrough the various QA deliverables such as Test plan, Test cases, Bugs that has been logged for different projects to the business, development and other testing groups.

Involved in the business calls to understand the XML schemas used in the services.

Involved in Reviewing the Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Data Preparation with offshore teams for the Service.

Creation of Stubs and Virtualize responders for virtualize assets.

Automation of SOA Test scripts prepared for the web services and APIs at Regression as well as Functional level.

Automation of high level SOA scenarios for Dev team so as to help in quick Unit/Smoke testing through web interface.

Mainframe Testing Services - The mission of Mainframe Testing Services (MFTS) is to provide stable Mainframe Testing Environments that enable our partner's best use of the systems, infrastructure and staff. Basically, it’s a Test Environment & Data Management project that deals with Test Environment Maintenance and Test Data Administration.

Responsibilities:

Monitor testing resources to ensure project tasks are completed successfully and according to business specifications and deadlines.
