Experimental Phragmites Eradication and Monitoring December 2013 for the Kingman Marsh and Anacostia River Fringe
● Assisted in the implementation of a two year experimental design intended to test the effectiveness of multiple types of combined manual and herbicidal control efforts for phragmites on Anacostia River in Washington, D.C.
● Randomly selected plots were marked with PVC rods with percent cover of existing vegetation identified within each plot and photo documented.
● Project was coordinated with the Anacostia Watershed Society through its Anacostia Wetlands Awareness and Restoration Effort (AWARE) with the project funded by a grant through the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation TECHNICAL SKILLS
