Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.

Performed systems analysis and lead developer roles on various MQ real time projects. Participated the entire development life cycle. Software was developed using DB2, CICS, MQ, COBOL,XML, DB2 XML, ENDEVOR, etc.

Primerica Inc.

Developed new software to handle incoming securities data to feed several legacy systems. Responsibilities included design, coding, testing, implementation. Also developed new DB2 tables including defining and seeding the new tables. Utilized DB2, COBOL 370,JCL, etc.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina.

Sr. Systems Analyst on the Integrated Plan Project Release Team.

Responsible for installing, modifying, testing new releases to the integrated plan claims system as part of the release team. Also responsible for support of the daily production and test MQ and batch cycles. Software was written in various languages, COBOL LE370, CICS, APS, EZTREIVE, DB2, and IMS. Extensive work with CICS, Batch, and MQ as the lead developer on new insurance processing utilizing “Real time” transaction processing.

Designed and constructed new inbound interfaces to capture new eligibility for an existing health insurance administration system. Developed new outbound feeds for an insurance fulfillment system. Constructed and installed several new insurance rating programs. Developed and installed new insurance products for AIG requiring code changes in all areas of an existing systems, including the administration, billing, fulfillment, etc. Provided enhancements and 24 hour support for many different insurance companies including AIG, Cigna, Physicians Mutual, ACM, Humana, AVMA, Mail Handlers, Aetna, Nationwide, as well as others.

This project entailed the liquidation of 13 closed credit unions. I wrote this application in Clipper, C++, and DBASE IV. This application distributed the assets of the credit union to all of the members according to the D.E.P.C.O. law of 1991. This application also reported all accounts that contained illegal properties. These reports as well as the funds being reported were then turned over to the Federal Government. This application was then sold by the State of Rhode Island to the FDIC

Designed and implemented a refit system for the Trident class submarines. I also worked on the weapons and logistics systems on the same submarine. These systems were written in CICS, IDMS, and ADS/O.
