1) LOCATION AWARE AND SAFER CARDS: ENHANCING RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SECURITY AND PRIVACY VIA LOCATION SENSING

• We report an enhancing security and privacy in certain RFID application were by location or location related information can serve as a legitimate access context.

• Using location and derived speed information, we designed location aware selective unlocking mechanisms and a location aware transaction verification mechanism.

• We show that location awareness can be used by both tags and back end servers for defending against unauthorized reading and relay attacks on RFID systems. 2) NOVEL HIGH STEP-UP-DC-DC CONVERTER

• A novel high step-up dc-dc convertor for a distributed generation system. The concept is composed of two capacitors, two diodes and one coupled inductor.

• Two capacitors are charged in parallel and are discharged in series by the coupled inductor. Thus, high step-up voltage gain can be achieved with an appropriate duty ratio. Achievements & Extracurricular Activities:

1) Received 1st prize in Discus throw in Inter College Sports Meet in February 2014. 2) Presented a paper on the topic ”NOVEL HIGH STEP-UP DC-DC CONVERTER” in the National level Technical Symposium at MBC College of Engineering, Munnar. 3) Have participated in the workshop on “PIC Microcontroller” conducted as a part of AZIKSA a National level Programme at Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur under the auspices of IEEE WIE Affinity Group.

4) Have participated in 4 days Career Engineering workshop held at Maharaja Prithvi Engineering College.
