Objective
To obtain a position as a Physician Assistant in Germany. I began my career working in a level 1 trauma center in Trauma Surgery. This unique opportunity let me begin my career covering the surgical trauma intensive care unit, surgical stepdown unit, trauma floor, trauma psychiatry, acute care surgery, outpatient free clinic and the trauma bay/emergency department. This unique experience also gave me the opportunity to perfect my skills in obtaining patients histories, formulating differential diagnoses and treatment plans. It also gave me the opportunity to perfect other skills such as suturing, local wound care, placing chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, FAST exams and bronchoscopy.
Throughout my time in trauma surgery I was able to scrub into an organ harvest and >20 trauma exploratory laparotomies, spend over 200 hours in the surgical trauma ICU, round and diagnose trauma psych patients, >2000 hours covering the
Trauma bay/emergency department and ride along with Air Care.
