Summary

In the past ** years I have helped a small one man engineering company grow into a 25-30 person firm. With offices in CT and NY, working on some of the largest and high profile job sites in the area. Whether implementing universal CAD standards, constant network infrastructure updates or troubleshooting all aspects of the network, I was an integral part of the growth of the company. I’m looking to take what I’ve learned here and pursue a full time career in the IT field.

System Administrator/Infrastructure/Help Desk

Within my first week of being hired as a draftsman I volunteered to take over IT related responsibilities. Relying on my self-taught skills I drastically improved the local network, steadily increasing employee efficiency as the company grew expanded. I was able to achieve 97% system uptime in the first 7 years, 99% in the last 6. While researching new technology I created upgrade schedules which included expanding the infrastructure from a small peer to peer network to a multi-server network that spanned multiple states. To ensure peak satisfaction collaboration with end users and upper management remained constant.

Setup and manage servers using AD, DFS, GPOs, SQL, Namespaces, local & off-site backup, shadow copies, antivirus, email & file archiving, helpdesk ticket system.

Conferred with various vendors, consultants, trades, and management to keep 95% system availability to end users during major projects or upgrades.

Creating initial CAD and drawing standards by collaborated with engineers and management that guaranteed 100% client satisfaction.
