Wilfrid Laurier University
Implemented A* algorithm to determine all paths traversable from start to finish
Applied Dijkstra's algorithm using syntax of python to find the shortest path between specific nodes
Python lists used to handled various paths and pauses to stop collision of multiple robots
Digital System Design, Traffic Light Simulation 2015
Wilfrid Laurier University
Built a frontend with a backend in VHDL to simulate a real time traffic light intersection with emergency vehicles having priority using sensors
Created an internal clock that cycled through the hours of the day at a selected speed to simulate traffic light results at various points within the day
Cyclone IV board used to activate the Crosswalk button as well as the left turn indicators when pressed
Sensors were adapted for emergency vehicles to be able to switch the lights as they approach intersection
Output to a monitor with timers and leds
Image Processing & Recognition Winter 2015
Wilfrid Laurier University
Worked in a group of two to create a GUI to open images
Integrated a high pass filter to sharpen image, low pass filter to blur image, and a Gaussian filter which could be applied to the image opened within the GUI
Applied ZS thinning Algorithm to thin basic images such as the characters of the alphabet and Chinese scripts
Implemented image recognition to differentiate between hand written numbers from 0-9 with a success rate of 87%
